P. Lindsay Parvis
Position: AssociateLindsay Parvis is admitted to practice law in Maryland, where she has handled family law matters since 2002. Her family practice includes all aspects of litigation and negotiation, as well as representing children as a court-appointed Child Privilege and Best Interests Attorney. She is a trained mediator and a collaborative law practitioner. Lindsay has served in many leadership roles in the Bar Association of Montgomery County, as well as its Family Law Section. Lindsay recently concluded her tenure as Co-Chair of the County Bar’s Family Law Section. For several years, Lindsay has served as Legislative Liaison for the Section, addressing family law legislation before the Maryland General Assembly. She currently serves as the Association’s Technology Committee Co-Chair, which was responsible for redesigning and launching the Association’s website and reinvigorating the Committee and its education initiatives. For her efforts, she was recognized as the 2008 Committee Chair of the Year by the Association. In 2010, Super Lawyers named Ms. Parvis as a “Rising Star” among attorneys for Maryland and the Washington Metropolitan area. In 2008, Lindsay was inducted as a Bar Leader of the Montgomery County, Maryland, Bar Foundation. Lindsay is currently President of the Montgomery County Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association, as well as the Website Committee Chair for the Maryland Women’s Bar Association, which honored her as a Member of the Year in 2009. Ms. Parvis is a Barrister member of the Montgomery Inn of the American Inns of Court, an organization dedicated to the improvement of skills, professionalism, and ethics of attorneys and judges. Lindsay attended the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2001) and graduated from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts (B.A., cum laude, 1995). |
